Document Verification
As part of the enrollment process, back-end systems continuously evaluate risk factors including device characteristics, contact information validation, service history, and previous enrollment attempts.
If these automated checks flag potential risks, customers will be required to complete additional identity verification through our third-party document verification partner, Entrust (formerly Onfido). This verification step is a completely separate workflow (hosted by Entrust) which occurs outside of the PLP platform on the customer's mobile device and must be successfully completed before enrollment can proceed.
To initiate a document verification check, a request can be made using the Run identity check endpoint, that will return a link that the customer can use to complete a quick verification. The client application can consume the Retrieve identity check endpoint to validate the verification status result.
